Dropping Prices and Removing Virtual Numbers

10th Sep 2019

It's been a long time since the last update, and I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that physical number prices have been slashed in half again from 0.003 BTC/day to 0.0015 BTC/day.

The bad news is that from the 15th of September we'll no longer be offering new virtual numbers. Despite being less popular than physical numbers, virtual numbers accounted for a majority of customer support load due to the unavoidable limitations (i.e. verification codes not getting delivered to virtual numbers). There are now additional compliance requirements from our virtual number supplier, which makes continuing to sell virtual numbers impractical. Existing virtual numbers will continue to work for as long as I can keep them working.

Thanks everyone for the support over the last few years. If you have any questions or comments, please email support@smsprivacy.org. I want to hear from you.

Cheers,
James Stanley
